Q # 1:   Is it dangerous, if plug is loose in socket?

Yes, very dangerous. Firstly, due to loose plug there will be improper electric supply to the refrigerator this will damage the electrical parts particularly the compressor. Secondly, due to loose plug there will be sparks, which can catch fire.

Q # 2:   Can refrigerator be operated through extension board?

Yes provided that extension board has proper earth wire and refrigerator 3-pin plug is firmly fixed into 3-pin socket. However, it is recommended that a separate line should be extended for refrigerator.

Q # 3:   Is it requirement to operate refrigerator through safety circuit breaker?

No it is not requirement, but recommended so that refrigerator remain protected during voltage fluctuations.

Q # 4:   Is it requirement to operate refrigerator through voltage stabilizer?

No, but if there is voltage fluctuation in the area then operate refrigerator through voltage stabilizer.

Q # 5:   Why striking noise coming from inside of refrigerator?

Check: Refrigerator is properly placed on a flat and hard surface and leveling feet have been equally balanced. The metallic dishes generate noise due to improper balance of refrigerator.

Q # 6:   Why water flowing out from Ref portion?

Check: Drain blockage Balance of refrigerator Leakage from bottles etc

Q # 7:   Striking noise from backside of the refrigerator (condenser)?

Check Condenser striking with back wall Copper tubes striking with each other.

Q # 8:   Why front sides of the refrigerator cabinet heating up?

It’s normal. Hot copper coil called anti moisture tube is inside to keep surface dry so that it remains protected from rust.

Q # 9:   Why doors of the refrigerator not closing properly?

Check: Balance of refrigerator Stacking of load on shelves causing hindrance for door to be closed properly Accumulation of dirt on the gas kit.

Q # 10:   Why sometimes doors of the refrigerator not easy to open once closed?

It’s normal. Due to cooling the air inside of refrigerator quenches as a result inside pressure drops. The outside air pressure is more than inside air pressure. That is why more force is to be applied for opening the door.

Q # 11:   Should refrigerator be started immediately after reaching home?

No. After reaching home first make all necessary arrangements for installation (see user’s manual) then leave refrigerator for half an hour so that oil inside compressor settle down then start refrigerator.

Q # 12:   How long new refrigerator to be kept running without load?

Run refrigerator with out load for 2 – 3 hours.

Q # 13:   Plastic smell from inside of refrigerator?

Check: Refrigerator cleaned at the time of installation if not, wash it with some soft detergent Item like garlic, ginger etc are not placed in air tight containers.

Q # 14:   Bad smell from surroundings of the refrigerator?

Check: If plug is loose Electric socket, stabilizer, extension board etc. if smell is from one of these, then immediately stop refrigerator and replace faulted one with some good quality one.

Q # 15:   What steps to be taken when electricity failure is very frequent?

Stop the refrigerator. Once the electricity is restored then start refrigerator. Give at least three minutes gap before starting refrigerator once it is stopped.

Q # 16:   What steps to be taken when shifting refrigerator from one place to another?

Always keep vertical. At new position leave it for half an hour then start.

Q # 17:   Refrigerator does not work?

Check: Power supply Power failure May be due to overload protection.

Q # 18:   Why refrigerator is continuously running?

There are many reasons: Overloading Frequent opening of doors Keeping very hot food in the refrigerator.

Q # 18:   Why refrigerator not cooling properly?

Check: Location whether exposed to some heat source (sun light, burner etc.The temperature dial is not on the correct position Overloading The refrigerator door is opened too frequently or let open long. The air circulation within the cabinet blocked by c.

Q # 20:   Why the ice in the freezer is melting when ref portion is empty?

As temperature controller is located in the ref portion so if this portion is empty, the temperature will be maintained soon and compressor will stop. There will be no more cooling in the freezer until temperature in ref portion drops and compressor start.

Q # 21:   Why quick ice formation in freezer when ref portion is completely filled?

As temperature controller is located in ref portion, if ref portion is completely filled then compressor will run for more time to maintain temperature in this portion therefore more ice will be noticed in freezer.

Q # 22:   Why low cooling in the ref portion when the freezer is completely filled?

As freezer is completely filled so larger amount of refrigerant gas will be utilized for maintaining temperature in freezer compartment.

Q # 23:   Why the vegetable etc. in the crisper and lower side of the ref portion is spoiling when the shelves are covered with plastic sheets?

This happens because air circulation within cabinet is blocked due covering of shelves.

Q # 24:   Why refrigerator does not start, when started immediately after shut off?

This happens some times when refrigerator is shut off due to overload protection. Do not start refrigerator once shut off before three minutes.

Q # 25:   Why the plastic and glass bottles and dishes crack / break in the freezer?

It happens because water expands when freezing. As plastic and glass dishes are brittle so these crack when ice is being formed in them.

Q # 26:   Why there are dewdrops on the refrigerator exterior?

It is normal. As exterior of refrigerator is comparatively cooled so vapors in air condense on the exterior of the refrigerator.

Q # 27:   Why there are dewdrops on the refrigerator interior?

This happens because doors of the refrigerator opened frequently or left opened. Keep doors of refrigerator closed as maximum as possible.

Q # 28:   Why an electric current is observed on touching the refrigerator?

This happens due to improper earth or non-availability of earth.

Q # 29:   Why sometimes “ghar ghar” noise (gargle noise) heard from freezer box?

This happens because air inside freezer moves through drain line into the pan on the compressor dome. If the drainpipe is dip into water a ghar ghar noise (gargle noise) will be heard. Simply lift up the drainpipe from water.

Q # 30:   The condenser (jally) is very dirty, can it be cleaned and how?

It can be cleaned very easily. Wipe off dust with a soft cloth or use shoe brush.

Q # 31:   After some period of time there is bad smell in the ref portion, how can it be washed and with what frequency?

Remove all the contents and then wash refrigerator with soft detergent and warm water. Dry interior with soft cloth. Wash refrigerator after one month or as per requirement. Do not throw water directly in to interior and exterior of refrigerator. Be caref

Q # 32:   How the ice formation (defrosting) on the freezer walls can be removed?

Frost should be removed when the frost thickness is about half inch. Remove all the food inside the refrigerator. Set the temperature controller to “off” position and wait for about 30~40 minutes with doors opened. Remove the melted ice/frost manually

Q # 33:   What type of preventive measures should be taken when refrigerator is to be switched off for long period of time?

Remove all contents including the frost. Wash off the interior with soft detergent and warm water. Completely dry the interior. Then close the doors. Do not forget to wipe off defrost water from the pan on the compressor dome.

Q # 34:   Why the gas kit is sticking with the sides of the cabinet body?

This happens due to dirt and grease accumulation on the gas kit. Wipe off the entire dirt and grease using soft damp cloth. If required use soft detergent.

Q # 35:   How much ice it can make in freezer?

Ice making performance is dependent on lot many factors, ambient temperature, loading, location & use (frequent opening of door) etc. However, our small & medium size refrigerators make 6 – 8 kg, whereas, large models make 8 – 10 kg

Q # 36:   Is only the door is rust free or the whole refrigerator?

The sheets used for doors are imported, pre-painted, specially designed & processed to keep doors rust free and give an elegant look to refrigerator.

Sheets used for cabinet body are also imported but painted in our paint shop on very high quality standards. These sheets are processed & treated before coating of an approximate 60 –70 micron thick coat of oven bake paint. This keeps cabinet body rust fr

Approximate maximum temperatures at no load with thermostat position at maximum (No. 7): Freezer : -20 to –22 ?C Refrigerator : 0 to 4 ?C

Q # 39:   What is duration of service & compressor warranty?

Q # 40:   Why the gas kit is hard?

It’s normal. It seems hard, as magnetic strip in full length is inside to keep the door firmly closed.

Q # 41:   Condenser is open or concealed type?

Condenser is open type. PEL prefers to use open type condenser, as it is most effective type. Also, if something goes wrong (may be due to any reason) it is very easy to change.

Q # 1:   How much electric it consumes?

4.5 to 6 ampere but for very short duration.

Q # 2:   Is it harmful?

No!

Q # 3:   How much weight we can put inside?

1.5 to 3 kg weight depending upon the size of MWO

Q # 5:   What is difference between digital & non-digital, which one is better?

In non-digital models manual knob system has been adopted. Both are best. Its product range for Customers to choose as per their requirement.

Q # 6:   What is grill and its purpose?

It’s a feature in some models, for roast as in conventional gas / electric ovens.

Q # 6:   What is the difference between MWO grill & gas oven grill?

No!

Q # 7:   How much weight can be put inside for defrosting?

1.5 to 3 kg depending upon size of MWO
